From the Bradford Times:
Members
of the Bradford Board of Trade had a rare opportunity
to walk the red carpet on June 7, at the annual Business
Awards Night Gala.
That’s
because, for one night at least, they were the stars
of the evening, receiving recognition for their efforts
as entrepreneurs, business owners, and community leaders.
The event, held at The Club at Bond Head, celebrated
their achievements and presented the annual Business
Excellence Awards - although, noted emcee Steve Lowden,
“it is never easy to pick the winner., especially
since over 92 nominations were received for the 11 awards.
Bradford West Gwillimbury Councillor James
Leduc congratulated the business community, pointing
out that Town Council has identified Economic Development
as “our #1 priority.” He thanked the
local entrepreneurs for their partnerships with the
community, not only supporting minor sports and charitable
events, but also helping to build the new BWG Leisure
Centre.
Special guest, MPP Julia Munro, summed it up by noting
that Business is “the key to success in any community.”
